CWDM : 粗式波长分割多任务转换器Coarse wavelength division multiplexing

应用:
一般所谓的粗式波长分割多任务转换,主要是指单一光纤有两个或以上的多任务信道的系统.2002年,国际电信联盟将CWDM通道空间加以标准化(ITU-T G.694.2), 将1270nm-1610nm的波段每20nm分成一个通道.但通常我们会使用1470nm以上通道.1470nm以下的衰减值稍大,通讯质量不易控制.因为CWDM技术难度相对较DWDM低,成本的控制与长期客户的维持便相对重要.相对于DWDM, CWDM数据传输量较小,其两端收发仪器的成本也较低.
CWDM也被用在电视讯号传输网络上,因为它的上传下传讯号也使用不同的波段.在这样的系统下传讯号在1310nm上传讯号在1550nm.
